Hey Dick, What's Cooking?

I have not been back to work on the sculpture of Dick in over a week, instead I am writing about the process of finding Dick Hathaway and sculpting the deceased. Hopefully Dick and I will be reunited in a week or so. Until then I thought it appropriate to post a picture or two of our beloved friend and professor. Hey Dick, what’s cooking?

Dick used to say that it was his job to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

The body/head quote usually came up in the context of the value of exercise. So, he might have said that the main purpose of his body is to carry around his head.

Wow, great work. Nice blog. You are surely thinking about Dick's body and his clothing a million times more than he did.

Omelettes, of course. I started eating his omelettes in January 1978, lovingly and articulately prepared at the Manor House on the Goddard College campus -- each omelette he made for me was unique, and he made certain everyone felt the same way about their omelettes.
